Sondey’s practice as an abstract expressionist artist explores the power of form, color, and spontaneity. Drawing inspiration from music, memory, and the unpredictability of the creative process, he produces works that invite viewers to discover their own interpretations within the chaos and rhythm of the canvas.

"War"

“War”, 28x15 inches (08/2026)
War explores the terrifying, parasitic nature of conflict. At the center, a monstrous, black tentacled figure emerges from a background of blood, violence, and destruction. Fractured splashes of gray and yellow pierce the crimson canvas, channeling the untamed chaos, searing heat, and unpredictability of conflict, alongside the cold ash left in its wake. It isn't just a depiction of battle; it’s the visceral embodiment of devastation itself.

"The Garden"

“The Garden”, 20x20 inches (05/2026)
Acrylic and layered textures. Built over multiple sessions, with several sections destroyed and rebuilt before finding their final balance.

"Night in Manhattan"

“Night in Manhattan”, 11x14 inches (07/2026)
This is Manhattan at its most honest — the glamour and the grime inseparable, beauty and menace sharing the same square inch of surface. The color does not defeat the darkness. The darkness does not extinguish the color. They coexist the way the city itself does: violently, electrically, magnificently.
